Quit watching pros after so many strikes. Don't remember if it was the third or not, one of them in the '80s. Still like to watch a college game now
and then. Anyway that left me with just NASCAR. Rarely missed a race for over twenty years, including the Grand National (what they began calling
the Busch series for a while, don't know that is now) they usually had on Saturday at the same venue as the Cup race on Sunday. Was gonna quit anyway when
Toyota came in, wasn't all-American any more (even if the Toyotas were assembled in the U.S.) but mainly they gave Toyota special treatment. Anyway Brian
France was a disappointment. Stuck around anyway, even if after Earnhardt Sr. died it wasn't the same. He was the last of a breed, and much as I liked
Junior he wasn't going to equal the old man. So goodbye NASCAR, and even before they went woke the new generation didn't interest me.
